GIGI
Hi! My name is Gigi and I am the smartest, sweetest, most delightful dog on the island. I am a 2 year old 46lb lab/pit mix. I am spayed now but had a litter in the past. I love going for walks on a leash, car rides and relaxing in my crate. Oh and I love snuggles! My foster mom says I have the softest brown fur!
My ideal forever home could include a family with kids over the age of 6. I'm not sure if I like smaller kids. They make me a bit nervous. I could live with other dogs if I'm introduced properly. My foster mom has other dogs that I want to play with sooooo bad but she says one of them is too big of a brat so I can't. I'm really curious about cats. I might like them. I'm not a big fan of water. I'd rather hangout or go for a walk than have a swim. I am easy to correct because I'm smart and I love treats! I love sleeping in my crate.

LUKI - ADOPTED!
Luki is an adorable hound mix who was found by a good Samaritan. She is approximately a year old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.
She is practically perfect but suffers from a left leg deformity which causes her paw to turn outward. This doesn't stop her, it just adds to her love-ability. Luki loves to play with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. She is about 50lbs of snuggle bug and is looking for her forever humans.

She loves to snuggle on the couch and go for car rides. She would love to be in a family with another dog or two. She needs someone who adopts her to be patient with her until she learns her new home and who to trust, because she has only ever been out on the streets.
She can be an escape artist until she gets comfortable and understands the situation, so she needs a secure environment.

Otis is a super easy and sweet senior who is in need of a medical foster. Otis recently underwent surgery to remove his ear polyps. He will need a cozy place to rest and recover. Otis also has dry eyes and happily accepts his eye drops (which we will provide) twice a day.

Angel is another staff favorite! This gorgeous pittie mix is very sweet and loving. Angel is between 3-4 years old, about 65 lbs, and easy to walk.

OREO
Oreo is a volunteer favorite. He's so sweet, loves people, and going on walks. He deserves to be in a loving home because he's a great dog. Oreo is an approximately 8 to 11 year-old large, neutered Mixed-Breed. He is a big hunk of love, who would be perfect for someone looking for a couch potato, but is also spry for his age! He’ll comfort you when you are sad and put a smile on your face with his goofy grin.
Oreo came back to us from a home where he was much loved but one day showed too much interest in the landlady’s peacocks. His adopter was very sad and hopes he will soon find a forever home without peacocks.

Zeke was abandoned at the vet with his sister Xena. His owner wanted them both put down since the owner was moving to the mainland. We said NO WAY!!
Zeke is such a unique boy with a goofy personality. Zeke is just sweet as pie, gentle, and walks very calmly on a leash. He is around 8 years old, neutered, and is not dog-reactive. He doesn't seem to mind cats and ignores the chickens.

BROWNIE
Seeking a special foster (or adopter) for our very special girl Brownie. Brownie is a sweetheart who loves people. She has a neurological condition that causes her spin in circles at times, and while not completely deaf (she responds to clapping), she is hard of hearing. But great news, as suggested by her vet, this smarty pants is learning doggy sign language! We are working on sit, stay, and lay down. She’s pretty good at “sit” already.
We are looking for a special person willing to continue her training, go on walks, and spin in circles together. Brownie can be good with other dogs, depending on the dog. She walks pretty well on a leash and ignores chickens and cats!
